Delusions of humor, and rapid shallow breathing with snorting breath sounds. Patients often emit noxious odors and sounds that tend to drive adults and young females away, limiting the spread of the disease primarily to other young males.
The disease tends to be self limiting as full maturity and exposure to females suppress its signs and symptoms.
